The Production Department of Mytown Media and Post Rock Radio has proven itself to be the most decorated production staff in the state of Kansas when it comes to commercials and station promos.  The Kansas Association of Broadcasters has presented awards to the winners of the 2010 KAB Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting at the annual convention in Wichita on October 18.  Mytown Media came away with three 1st Place awards, one 2nd Place award and three Honorable Mentions total; Seven awards in all for Mytown Media and Post Rock Radio production, the most of any broadcasting company in the state of Kansas.

The KAB presents awards in fourteen categories that include 60 Second Commercials, 30 Second Commercials, Station Promotion Announcements, Air-checks, and categories dealing with News, Weather and Sports Broadcasts.  Categories are awarded separately for Large, Medium, Small Market and Non-Commercial Radio.

In Medium Market, Mytown Media’s Production Staff received 1st Place in Station Promos, 2nd Place in 60 Second Commercials, and Honorable Mention in 30 and 60 Second Commercials. 
In Small Market they received 1st Place in both 30 Second Commercials and in Station Promos, and Honorable Mention in 60 Second Commercials.

Mytown Media and Post Rock Radio are comprised of ten stations throughout Kansas.  The Mytown Media stations are KWXD “103.5 The X” and KHST “Star 101.7 located in Pittsburg, KINZ “Z 95.3”, KKOY-FM “Hot 105.5”, and KKOY-AM “ESPN 1460” located in Chanute,  KSNP “97.7 The Dawg” located in Burlington, KEKS “Kiss 103.1” located in Emporia, and KQZQ “Coyote Country 98.3” located in Medicine Lodge.  The Post Rock Radio stations are KXNC “Kiss 104.7 and KKDT “93.5 Dave FM” located in Lacrosse.  Production for all ten stations is produced by the same production department.
